Essence Update Event in Köln

Wie ihr vielleicht auf Instagram oder Facebook bereits gesehen habt, durfte ich Teil des diesjährigen Essence Update Events in Köln sein. Über zwei Tage hinweg, durften wir Schritt für Schritt die neuen Mitbewohner des Standardsortiments kennenlernen. Und so viel steht fest: es sind wirklich unglaublich tolle Produkte dabei, die wirklich nach meinem Geschmack sind. An dieser Stelle nochmals mein herzlichstes Dankeschön an das Essence-Team, das sich so viel Mühe gegeben hat, um unseren Aufenthalt in "der Wohngemeinschaft" unvergesslich zu machen. Mission gelungen! Und damit ich euch gleich auf das, was auf euch zukommt, vorbereiten kann und euch vielleicht, die eine oder andere Kaufentscheidung erleichtere, fange ich gleich mit den Lippen-Produkten an, die mein persönliches Highlight waren!

As you may already have seen on Instagram oder Facebook, I had the chance to be a tiny little part of the Essence Update Event in Köln. During those two days, we got to know the new cohabiters of the standard range, step by step. And let me tell you: This time they have lots of amazing stuff, which are completely to my taste. At this point I'd like to thank the Essence team soooo sooo much for trying to make our stay unforgettable with their effort. Mission accomplished! And now it's up to me to show you what I liked and what not, so I can probably simplify some of your decisions!



Der Titel "Bitches love Candy" war glaube ich noch nie passender: die neuen Lip Candies sind wirklich zum dahinknien. Sie sehen aus, wie aus einer Zuckertüte und sind einfach zauberhaft. Eigentlich hatte ich gehofft, dass sie wirklich stark deckend sind, dieser Wunsch wurde mir aber leider nicht erfüllt. Trotzdem habe ich mich in sie verliebt! Die Textur ist etwas dicker und zieht Fäden, weswegen man den Applikator langsam rausziehen sollte :) Also immer mit der Ruhe und dann wirds was mit dem süssesten Lächeln der Welt!


The title "Bitches Love Candy" has never been more appropriate than now: the new Lip Candies are to die for. They look like they're born in a candy shop. Actually I wished they were really opaque, but they're not. But this didn't prevent me from falling in love with them! The texture is a bit thicker and tends to thread and that's why you should pull out the applicator really slowly :) So keep calm to get the sweetest smile in the world!

Krieg ich ein Hallelujah für die Nude Reihe, die Essence kreiert hat? Sehnlichst, habe ich mir etwas in diese Richtung gewünscht und erfüllt wurde mir dieser Wunsch auf ganzer Linie: Lippen, Nägel und Augen. Aber dazu ein anderes Mal. Erst mal zu den XXXL Nude Lipglossen. Diese passen wirklich perfekt zu den Liplinern und den Lippenstiften und geben erstaunlich viel Farbe ab. Sie komplettieren das gesamte "Nude Paket"!

Can I get a Hallelujah for the Nude range Essence created? I've always wanted them to do something like this and they just caped it all by including not just the lips but also the nails and eyes section. But for now just the lips: the XXXL Nude lipglosses match perfectly the lipliners and the lipsticks and they show off really good. They really complete this whole "nude package"!

Da ich ein grosser Fan von Ombre Lips bin, kann man meine Begeisterung für die grosse Farbauswahl der Longlasting Liplinern nachvollziehen. Präzises Auftragen ist dank der Anspitzung kein Problem und auch die Farbstärke ist einmalig. Wer also auf der Suche nach guten Liplinern ist, wäre also gut bedient.

As I am a huge fan of ombre lips, it's easy to understand my excitement about the huge color range of those longlasting lipliners. A precise application is no problem thanks to its sharp tip. To sum up: if you're looking for some good lipliners, you'll be satisfied with these ones.

Und nun zu meinen liebsten Produkten: die Lippenstifte! Es ist selten der Fall, dass ich aus Überzeugung sagen kann: ich mag wirklich alle Farben! Aber hey, Wunder geschehen und wir befinden uns mitten in einem!  Die Lippenstifte weisen eine mittlere Farbpigmentierung auf und sind einfach nur der Hammer! Aber ich muss vorwarnen: die ganz hellen Farben sollten aus Stil-Gründen lieber mit einem Lipliner kombiniert werden, dessen Farbe ein Ton dünkler ist. 

And now my absolute favourite products: the lipsticks! It's rarely the case that I like every single color! But hey, miracles happen and we're right in the middle of one! The lipsticks have a medium pigmentation and are the bomb! But just to clear up: you should definitely combine the lightest shades with a lipliner which is one shade darker....just for the sake of a classy make-up!

Eine guten Lippenpflege ist natürlich Voraussetzung für ein gutes Lippen-Make-Up! Und gegen meine anfängliche Skepsis muss ich zugeben, dass ich diese hier wirklich mag. Sie hellt die Lippen leicht auf und schenkt ihnen einen leichten, aber nicht aufdringlichen Schimmer und ist nicht zu schlüpfrig oder klebrig auf den Lippen!

A good lip care product is a condition for a good lip make-up! And against my initial skepticism I have to admit, that I really do like this one. It brightens up my lips and gives them a slight and sheer shimmer. The feeling they leave is neither to sticky nor to slippery!

Golden Times

Das ich auf knallige Lippen stehe, ist ja nichts Neues, die Lippenstiftreihe Color Riche Collection Exclusive von L'Oréal jedoch schon. Zumindest habe ich sie erst kürzlich für mich entdeckt. Mitgenommen habe ich Heike's & Freida's Pure Red. Das orange-stichiges Rot und das heisses Pink, verleiht den Lippen ein seidiges-mattes Finish und trocknet die Lippen nicht  aus, versorgt sie aber auch nicht wirklich mit einer grossen Portion Feuchtigkeit. Was die Lippenstifte aber unwiderstehlich macht, ist  die Verpackung mit den goldenen Details!

I really love bright lips, that's nothing new but the lipsticks from the Color Riche Collection Exclusive by L'Oréal are. At least to me cause I spotted them a few weeks ago! So I took Heike's & Freida's Pure Red home with me. The orange red and the hot pink leaves a seelky matte finish on my lips. They don't dry out my lips but they're neither really moisturizing. What I love the most about them ist the packaging: just love the golden details!

Was Ketten anbelangt verfalle ich den Pastell-Tönen immer wieder aufs Neue. Deswegen konnte ich diese zwei Schätzchen auch nicht im Laden hängen lassen. Im H&M habe ich mir die märchenhafte himmelblaue Feen-Kette geschnappt, die ich stundenlang betrachten könnte. Eher was für Prinzessinnen ist da wohl die rosane Statementkette aus dem SIX. Einfach zauberhaft!

Lately I can't resist the pastel colored necklaces. That's why I couldn't leave those two babies on their shelves. When I went to the H&M I fell in love with this fabulous azure fairy necklace so I bought it. I could spend hours just watching the colors in it! Another princess kind of piece is this rose statement necklace from SIX. Just charming!

M.A.C. Lipsticks

Hallo Liebe Leser !

Ich dachte es wäre mal an der Zeit euch meine absoluten Lieblingsprodukte vorzustellen: Lippenstifte von M.A.C.! Ich besitze zwar erst vier, aber sie gehören zu den meist genutzten meiner Sammlung. Gerade vor einigen Tagen, hatte ich  das Glück einen neuen meinen zu nennen. Es handelt sich hierbei um den Violetten ganz rechts aussen, der den Namen "Heroine" trägt: Achtung Suchtgefahr! Die Farbe ist nichts für schwache Nerven und definitiv nichts für den Alltag, aber dennoch liebe ich sie! Kurzer Überblick zu den Namen beginnend von links nach rechts:

M.A.C red (A73)  /  Sweet & Sour (A13)  /  Candy Yum-Yum (AA2)  /  Heroine (AC3)

Die beiden auf der rechten Seite (Candy Yum-Yum & Heroine)  haben ein mattes Finish und halten genau deswegen unglaulich laaaaaange! Ich habe meinen Neuankömmling getragen, um mir den Film "Maleficent" im Kino zu sehen ( ich dachte die Farbe passt perfekt!) und selbst nach Stunden in denen ich  gegessen und getrunken habe, hielt der Lippenstift, als sei er auf meine Lippen tätowiert. 

Besonders toll and den Matten: man braucht auf keinen Fall einen Lipliner, da die Farbe and den Lippenrändern überhaupt nicht ausfranst. Anders verhält sich hier der M.A.C. red mit einem satin Finish. Hier empfehle ich dringend einen Konturenstift. Bei Sweet & Sour erübrigt sich die Frage nach einen Stift aufgrund der hellen Farbe, obwohl er zur Finish-Kategorie "cremesheen" gehört.

Alles in allem finde ich, dass die Lippenstifte von M.A.C zu den besten, die ich je benutzen durfte, gehören! Ausserdem duften sie unglaublich gut (Vanillie?). Auch die Pigmentierungen sind unglaublich stark und garantieren euch einen langanhaltend frischen Auftritt! Fünf von fünf Lollis!

I thought it's time to show you my absolute favorite products: lipsticks by M.A.C! I just own four, but they're the most used in my collection. A few days ago I had the chance to call a new one mine. It's the purple one on the right side with the name "heroine": risk to get addicted! The color is nothing for weak nerves and especially not an everyday color, but I still love it! Short overview concerning the names beginning on the left side:

M.A.C red (A73)  /  Sweet & Sour (A13)  /  Candy Yum-Yum (AA2)  /  Heroine (AC3)

The two on the right side (Candy Yum-Yum & Heroine) have a matte finish and that's the reason why they stay on your lipls like foreeeever! I applied my new one for the film "Maleficent" which I wanted to watch with my dear friend (I thought this color would match this film perfectly!). Even after hours of eating and drinking in the cinema, the color was still on my lips as it was tattooed.

Especially cool about the mattes: you really don't need a lipliner, as the color will not "frazzle". Different in this point: M.A.C red with its satin finish. For this baby you really should use one. For the Sweet & Sour, the question of using one is unnecessary because it is a bright color. It belongs to the finish category "cremesheen".

 To sum up: the lipsticks by M.A.C are the best I ever used! They also smell incredibly good (vanilla?). As well the pigmentation is super good and guarantees you a longlasting fresh look! Five out of five Lollys!
